Guide to Vietnam visa for Australians in Hong Kong
The first thing to be noted here for all Australians who are planning a travel to Vietnam any any part of the world is that all Australians need a visa to Vietnam regardless of their length of stay in the country except:
- they directly travel to the Phu Quoc island of Vietnam from a foreign country/territory,
- stay there for no more than 30 days; and
- leave the island for a foreign country/territory.

- Apply for Vietnam visa on arrival;

Obtain Vietnam visa in Vietnam Embassy in Hong Kong
- Step 1: Download the Vietnam visa application form at website of Vietnam embassy in Hong Kong, fill it out, attach it with photo
- Step 2: Travel to the embassy, submit visa application, original passport and other documents as required by the embassy.
- Step 3: Pay for visa fee.
- Step 4: Travel back home and wait for visa application processed by the embassy.
- Step 5: Travel back to the embassy to pick up full visa for Vietnam.

Obtain Vietnam visa on arrival?
- Go online at https://booking.vietnam-visa.com/step1.html, and fill out the form online;
- Pay for service fee;
- Get visa approval letter delivered to email within 2 working days (for tourist visa) or 7 working days (for business visa)
- Get your visa stamped at Vietnam airport after showing required documents and paying for stamping fee.
Both these ways of visa application provide you with a valid visa, so using which way is your choice.
