Vietnam visa for Hong Kong Passport holders in Belgium
Hi. I’m Hongkong passport holders, and I am going to Vietnam in June 2017. Can you explain me the best way to obtain my Vietnam visa. I’m in Belgium now. Thank you.
Dear Lee,
Please be informed that as a Hong Kong passport holders, you may have two ways to obtain a visa to Vietnam as follows, regardless of your current place:
- Apply for visa at local Vietnam Embassy in Belgium or in any country before Vietnam;
- Apply for visa on arrival.
Following are basic differences between these two ways of visa application:
Items | Vietnam Embassy Visa | Vietnam Visa on arrival |
---|---|---|
Issuing Authority | Vietnam Embassy in foreign countries | Vietnam Immigration Department |
How to apply |
| Submit online application form for visa approval letter via a travel agent only. |
Documents to be submitted |
| No documents required. |
Fee | Pay once to the embassy. However, the fee may vary from embassy to embassy, so the applicants are highly recommended to contact the embassy for details. | Pay twice. The first (service fee) to be paid online to the travel agent for processing visa approval letter and the second (stamping fee) to be paid in cash at Vietnam airport to get visa stamped. Total cost of a 1-month single entry is around US$45. |
Where to pick up | Vietnam Embassy | Vietnam arrival airport |
Applicable travelers | All | Air Travelers only |
In case you travel to Vietnam by air, Vietnam visa on arrival seems to be the best way. In case you travel to Vietnam by road or cruise, or wish to obtain a full visa beforehand, the former way is the single option.
