Vietnam Visa for person holding Hong King passport by cruise
All questions above talked about visa issues if traveled by air. What about by cruise (through ocean ship)? I plan to take a cruise departing Hong Kong through a China port to a Vietnam port. Can I apply similar Vietnam visa on arrival like the one taking by air? The cruise ship will only allow us to stay for a few hours before departing again. So we only need a quick visa for sight visit for a few hours. Please advise what we can do.

Please be informed that you cannot apply for Vietnam visa on arrival in this case as this kind of visa is applicable to those traveling to Vietnam by air only, as you already read.
In your case, you should contact the cruise line to ask whether they can arrange Vietnam visa for you or not. Otherwise, you should contact the embassy of Vietnam in Hong Kong to apply for Vietnam visa.
